PMIU Monthly Report

The Programme Monitoring & Implementation Unit (PMIU) conducts regular monitoring and surprise visits to schools under the jurisdiction of the school education department. These visits aim to assess the performance and progress of officers. To facilitate this process, PMIU utilizes SIM-enabled tablets for the submission and presentation of visit forms online.

PMIU is a subsidiary of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and was established in 2014. Through the tablet-based system implemented by PMIU.PITB, a total of approximately 1.3 million visits have been conducted. PMIU Monthly Report:

The school schedule during the summer season is typically interrupted at the end of May and resumes in mid-August each year. Dr. Umar Saif, Chairman of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab, has expressed his satisfaction and agreement with the progress of the new monitoring mechanism system. Both officials have acknowledged that the real-time reporting, automatic SMS alerts, pictorial evidence, and site visits make this monitoring system the most effective in Punjab, utilizing our skills and knowledge for the benefit of open Punjab.

The primary objective of examination, data analysis, and policy is to provide research and logical services, as well as value-added information, solutions, and studies to the School Education Department (SED). The Punjab Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU) aims to identify data based on consultation and the needs and requirements of the department.

PMIU PITB is responsible for establishing a research unit that oversees the development of the database environment for data arrangement, processing, analysis, collection, recognition, and reporting for decision-making purposes. The unit plans, develops, and maintains the School Education Research and database analysis, ensuring the accuracy and comprehensiveness of data analysis, research findings, and proposals.

Furthermore, PMIU engages with other sub-departments and entities within the School Education Department. For more information and to stay connected with PMIU Punjab, please visit the website link pmiu.pitb.gov.pk.
