The Law GAT test is set to take place on January 07, 2024. The Law Graduate Assessment Test is mandatory for all LLB graduates who intend to pursue Bar Council Registration. Applications for LAW-GAT 2024 can be submitted online at the HEC portal until December 25, 2023.
HEC LAW Registration 2024 Apply Online
Individuals who have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Law or its equivalent from a university recognized by HEC/PBC can register themselves online via http://etc.hec.gov.pk. Applications can be submitted online at the HEC website. HEC LAE-GAT is a prerequisite for all LLB graduates before they can enter the legal profession and practice law.
The test will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions (MCOs). Applicants who have completed the HEC online registration process will be able to download their Roll Number Slip from http://etc.hec.gov.pk one week before the test date. Registered applicants will receive an email/SMS notification regarding the test date, time, and venue. Candidates need to provide a valid email/mobile number when filling out the online application form. To gain entry into the Test Centre, candidates must bring a printed copy of the Roll Number Slip and their original CNIC. The deadline to apply for HEC Law GAT 2024 is December 25, 2024.
Eligibility Requirements for HEC Law GAT 2024:
Individuals who have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Law from a university that is recognized by HEC and PBC are eligible to apply for the HEC Law GAT 2024.

Applicants have the flexibility to choose any test center from the provided list during the application process. However, it is important to note that a minimum of 250 applicants must select a particular center for the test to be conducted. Once a test center is selected and registration is completed, it cannot be changed.

- The application submission process consists of two steps. Firstly, applicants need to complete their profile by accessing the “My Profile” section on the online portal. Secondly, they must submit their application by using the “Law Graduate Assessment Test” link located on the left-hand side menu panel of the online portal. It is important to note that only submitted applications will be considered for the Law-GAT Test, and applications in save or incomplete mode will not be entertained.
- A test fee of Rs. 3000/- is required to be deposited through various payment methods such as 1Link 1Bill invoice participating Banks, ATM, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, or Upaisa. Once the 1Link 1Bill Invoice payment service is selected, applicants can open or sign in to their mobile app and proceed with the payment by clicking on the bill and selecting the 1Bill Invoice payment services.
